The music staff is committed to the mission of developing a well-rounded, expressive student that demonstrates confidence in performing music. In addition, each student will develop a heightened sense of personal/social skills which include, but are not limited to teamwork, promptness, responsibility, conduct, and effort. In order to realize the mission, students will be able to demonstrate musical proficiency through good performance and practice habits. Mastery of fundamental performance skills designed to reinforce good tone, rhythmic precision, and note accuracy that lead to music literacy is emphasized. Reflecting upon the expressive and stylistic nuance associated with performing and understanding a variety of musical styles is paramount.
